About Nazareth El Khan Guesthouse and Art

About Us

A guesthouse that makes history

Nazareth El Khan combines hospitality, art, culture, and the atmosphere of the old city inside a carefully restored historic Khan building.

Our Story

A restored 19th-century Khan in the old city of Nazareth.

In 2023, actor and artist Hisham Suliman led a careful restoration of the building, blending the character of the historic structure with the surrounding old city houses of Nazareth.

The project was created from the belief that Nazareth can become an international cultural and tourism center that combines urban hospitality, art, heritage, and local life.

The Khan

The charm of staying inside a historic Khan.

A Khan is a historic structure that once served travelers, merchants, and their animals along trade routes. These buildings were common across the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia.

Nazareth El Khan preserves this spirit of hospitality and transforms it into a modern guesthouse experience, with elegant rooms, shared spaces, art, and a calm family atmosphere.

Nazareth

Stay close to the living heart of the old city.

Nazareth is one of the most unique destinations in the region, rich with history, faith, architecture, food, markets, and local culture.

The old market is a central part of the city’s story. Once divided into areas such as the carpenters’ market, bridal market, vegetable market, and tinsmiths’ market, it now blends old charm with cafés, boutiques, studios, food tours, workshops, and guesthouses.
